چکیده
Self-healing soy-based resins with soy protein isolate (SPI) containing poly(D, L-lactide-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) microcapsules (MCs) were prepared. Spherical (diameter of 1.30 μm) and elongated MCs (aspect ratios up to 20) produced using a membrane emulsification technique syringe filters. efficiencies characterized for their strength recovery toughness recovery. While both could successfully heal cracks, spherical seen compromise the tensile properties resin, whereas demonstrated some mechanical enhancement. For MCs, self-healing about 45% 41% in terms recovery, respectively, obtained. even higher. However, these higher result compromised resin. The results also showed that MC loading efficiency. Use green can extend useful life composites as well enhance safety, thus, allowing them replace currently used petroleum-based many applications.

Development of nanoemulsion-based antimicrobial activity of cinnamon prepared with soy protein isolate-lecithin
The objective of the present research was to develop cinnamon oil nanoemulsions using soy protein isolate and lecithin as food grade natural emulsifiers. For this purpose, stable cinnamon oil nanoemulsion (droplet diameter of 141.2 nm) prepared by ultrasonic emulsification. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and the minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of free and nanoemulsified cin...
متن کاملFoaming properties of soy protein isolate hydrolysates
Tensoactive species obtained by papain hydrolysis of soy protein were characterized structurally and physicochemically, and their foam-forming and -stabilizing capacity studied. Protein structural changes upon reaction ending were correlated with functional and interfacial properties and with the behaviour thereof with varying hydrolysis degree. Two different means of halting hydrolysis -pH red...

Cereal Chem. 72(6):559-563 Films were prepared by casting and drying alkaline aqueous filmelongation at break (E). TS values ranged from 1.4 to 3.9 MPa and E forming solutions of soy protein isolate (SPI). Four additional types of values ranged from 83 to 152%. Water vapor permeability of the films films were made by combining SPI with poly(ethy1ene oxide) (PEO) in ranged from 3.0 x to 4.0 x gl...
متن کاملPreparation and Characterization of Pullulan-Soy Protein Concentrate Biocomposite Film
The non-biodegradable nature of plastic packaging has brought about an attention in bio-basedpackaging materials. Edible composite films were prepared using soy protein concentrate (SPC) and pullulan(PUL) biopolymer at five different ratio (100:0; 70:30; 50:50; 30:70 and 0:100) with glycerol as plasticizer bycasting-evaporation method. The thickness, mechanical properties, water vapor permeabil...
